Chris Harrison

Hitting, Pitching , Fielding, Throwing

Chris Harrison is the owner of Michigan Sports Academy. Since 2002 he has worked with thousands of players through the programs at MSA.

In 2010, Harrison joined Major League Baseball as an Associate Scout.

Chris has over 20 years of college coaching experience - University of Michigan, Kansas State University, Concordia University (MI), The Master's College (CA) and Gordon College (MA). Coach Harrison has also been involved in the Olympic (USA Baseball) and international baseball world (Dutch Baseball Federation and Athletes in Action).

Over thirty of Chris' former players have gone on to professional baseball with eight of those players making it to the major leagues.

Eric Harris

Hitting, Catching, Speed

Eric Harris has been with Michigan Sports Academy since it opened in 2002. A former player in the Oakland Athletics organization, Eric has become one of the top hitting and catching instructors in the area. Coach Harris has also developed MSA's Phast four program which has helped athletes in all sports and levels increase their running speed and strength.

Geoff Zahn

Pitching

Former major league pitcher and University of Michigan Head Coach, Geoff Zahn has been with MSA since it opened in 2002. During that time Geoff has developed cutting edge programs such as the Total Pitching Program that have been acclaimed by coaches and baseball writers.

Geoff is also an accomplished writer and has been an analyst on professional and college baseball broadcasts.

Besides Total Pitching, Coach Zahn has developed conditioning and velocity programs. He also works with pitchers on an individual basis.

Jon Evans

Hitting, Catching, Fielding, Throwing, Baseball Pitching, Summer Baseball Director

Jon Evans has been with the Michigan Sports Academy since 2016. Coach Evans runs our MSA High School Summer Baseball Program. He played collegiate baseball at Defiance College in Ohio as a catcher after playing for MSA during high school.

 

Jon is currently the Head Baseball Coach at John Glenn HS. Coach Evans has spent time as an Assistant Coach at Madonna University, as Head Coach at Skyline High School, and as Head Coach at Garden City High School. During his time as a head Coach, his teams have won District & League Championships and increased baseball participation at  each school. Coach Evans has sent numerous players to the college level between his high school programs and our MSA program.

Coach Evans provides private & group training for kids of all ages in baseball &softball, and runs several programs at MSA - including Complete Catching & Total Infield. Jon is also a DVS certified Baseball Pitching Instructor.

Emily Raubuch

Softball Pitching, Hitting, Throwing and Agility Instruction, 16U Head Coach

Emily is currently the Volunteer  Coach at Lawrence Tech University in Southfield, Michigan for the 2025 Season . She is also the Assistant Varsity coach at Orchard Lake St. Mary's Preparatory high school. Prior to her coaching career, she played at the Division I level for Morgan State University (2021-2024) as a left handed pitcher.  She is a 4 time regular season MEAC champion and a 2 time MEAC Tournament Champion.  As a freshman, Emily helped her team win its first ever MEAC Tournament Championship. Advancing with a bid to NCAA Regionals, she pitched against #1 Oklahoma and Texas A&M.  As a senior, she led her team to another tournament championship while earning All Conference 3rd Team,  All Tournament First Team, and another bid to NCAA Regionals where she held Duke, the tournament's 10 seed, scoreless through 4 1/2 innings.  She has faced other top teams like Washington, Baylor, Penn State,  Houston, Liberty, and more. She finished her Senior year as one of the top pitchers in NCAA Division I Softball. She led the nation in least Walks Allowed Per Seven Innings (.49), and Strikeout-to-Walk Ratio (10.67). She also ranked 33rd in ERA (1.72).

 

Emily trained at with Coach Harrison at MSA from the age of 9.  She graduated from Milan High school, and earned her Bachelor's degree at Morgan State University. She is currently available for Private/Semi Private and Buddy Lessons.

Wynnie Reid 

Softball Hitting, Fielding and Throwing Instruction, Assistant Coach 16U

Wynnie - Was a 4 year letterwinner at Cabrini High School in Allen Park.  She played both infield and outfield and was a 2 time District Champion and played in the State Quarterfinals her senior year.  She is currently playing at the Division I Collegiate level at  Bowling Green State University.  She is a Senior and 3 year starter playing Middle Infield.  She has an excellent understanding of the fundamentals and a passion for teaching girls the game of softball.  During her 3 years at Bowling Green she has played against many elite level Division I teams  including Florida,  Michigan, Indiana, Notre Dame, Louisville, Pitt and More. 

Wynnie has helped coach our MSA Summer Clinic the past couple of years and has held skills  clinics for both hitting and fielding.
